Audience Theory

1). Passive audience - when the audience believes what the media says and they do not have their own opinion.

2). Active audience: when the audience hears the opinion of the media then takes in their own opinion and after they decide who is right.

3). When people are always accepting everything and it's allowing the producer to feed information into the public and they will know they are accepting anything they tell them. this is showing the media they own us and can tell us anything they want and we will believe them.

4).INFORMATION/SURVEILLANCE: Blue planet why
: it's a documentary series where it explains all about how the sea is and the wildlife and how they live. It also explains all about the life there that hasn't been discovered deep down in the ocean.
IDENTITY: Spencer F.C
Why: Fifa players want to see players they will never have and reach divisions they will never reach.
DIVERSION/ENTERTAINMENT: X factor
Why: people want to see some one sing and become a star.
RELATIONSHIPS: Big bang theory
Why: because people have been watching the series for a long time and they want the story line to continue.

5).the video makes the audience interested by giving different dynamics that shows how the animals live in the water .the music adds an extra touch to show that the ocean is calm and settled.

Reception theory

1.The preferred reading means when the producers intend to communicate with the audience to see if the message of a film or movie and don't argue with it what so ever. For example the preferred reading of the film Harry Browne is that young people are evil and violent gangsters. The young people in the film are burning cars, stabbing and shooting people

2.The op-positional reading states when the audiences understand what the movie is trying to say but disagree with the point its trying to make either because of what they think is true or thoughts or values. For example the opposition reading is that only a small amount of young people are criminals and evil as it didnt show all the young people in the world in the film.

3.The trailer makes the audience feel angry as the young people in the trailer are young people doing wrong because young people are already portrayed as evil people already and the movie doesn't help their image and just emphasises how bad some young people are. It gives the audience an excuse to hate the young people.

4.Young people may not like this reading and start to hate how they make them look in a bad light opposition reading of the trailer ,because none of young people in the world is like the young people and even if there is one, a person might stereotype and think all young people are like the ones in the Harry Browne trailer and it is not fair on the young people who aren't anything like the ones in the Harry Browne trailer so they would create an op-positional reading.

5.

MacDonald uses preferred reading for this poster by making the burger nice and full by making the bun nice and big and letting the big mac sauce slowly drip out to make you want to devour it. It also uses a good image of it as using an image of it sideways so it shows all the layers and tries to show how much your going to spend on it would be a good price. negoteated readed is shown as it shows how fat you can get if you keep on munching on the burger as it is really big but people would buy it as it looks really tasty. Oppositional reading is shown as it could not be worth it as the burger would not look the same as it would look in real life and look worse.

audience power essay

In this essay i will be discussing my own opinions on how the internet has given the audience more and more power to the world than ever before. I will be using examples to show how the advantages and disadvantages to this question like youtubers and social media platforms and give my conclusion at the end. In my own opinion I do believe that the internet has indeed given the audience power to do what they like and say what they like

Music

The music industry has changed drastically since the rise of the internet. The biggest changes to it would be places like spotify and youtube which are places you can go to hear any song as it is an easier source to use and especially youtube which is a platform which you can put up your own content and see the consumers opinion in the comment section(UGC). before if you wanted to listen to you favourite song or artist you would have to have a radio or watch MTV. now the consumer has to search them on youtube and hey presto they have a list of choices.

An advantage of this is you can do whatever you like and anyone can see how talented you are. It is also a platform for unknown or low key singers to find stardom. An example of this is Justin Beiber who was a boy on youtube putting up covers of other song and uploading them he got found out by usher and the rest is history.he quickly rose to fame and in 10 years he is now worth 200 million dollars and almost has 100 million followers on Instagram.

A disadvantage of this would be that certain people  have got famous from other areas of the media and they can make music and it will go viral as their fan base will consume it. An example of this is big shaq who was a comedian who did a series on you tube called some where in london which isabout life in London based on different peoples perspectives like a policeman, uberdrive and a roadman. He was invited onto fire in the booth and the rest is history. He know has almost a 100 million views on his music video and is going mainstream doing collaborations with Danny Welbeck over FIFA 18 and meeting Dj kalid.

Film and TV industry

As the internet has grown over time, there has been an increase in the ability to watch things digital by the touch of your hands.the advantages are Streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and show box etc are getting a lot of publicity these days because you are able to watch whatever you want wherever you want. loads of services have increasing amounts of money you have to pay to watch Some streaming services such as Netflix have started making their own shows that are only available to people who use their services - such as Stranger Things, and house of cards which is a Netflix Original series

However, the disadvantages are there is a bad side to streaming services. There has been an increase in people who have stopped going to the cinema because many films are available illegally online for free.An example of this is Laid in america which was a movie done by KSI and casper lee. They are famous youtubers who made a movie but as their audience understands and know how to pirate a movie they lost 200,000 dollars from everyone pirating it and now they are unable to make a sequel. This is one example and other movies have also been pirated which  has resulted in less people going to the cinema as they would be able to watch it on their phones or laptop. When it comes to film and television on the internet audiences are very powerful because they decide whether a company makes money from what they've produced or lose lots of money. It's in the consumers hands whether or not a film or TV series is successful, their comments are what makes it blow up or die out is and will help you what producers focus on to give viewers what they'd like to see so their show will progress.

Newspapers

The way people read newspapers these days has changed drastically over the past few years. Before people would go to the shop or the train station and buy or collect their free newspaper and read but now it less likely people read them anymore. As technology has gown and become more easier to use the news is now shown over the new digital media but they  are still around but it's not as popular as it was back then. The NDM allows the consumers to view the news online wherever and whenever they want which is a much accessible way of finding out whats going on instead of waiting for the next day for the new edition of your favourite paper to come out. This also allows the audience to express their opinions about the news, via social media. New technology allows you to cover events in new ways, this is helpful for the producer because it'll be more likely for people to tune in if the news is being presented in an very interesting way eg. helicopter.

Image result for sky news app
However, there are also different risks of news being presented to the audience watching meaning it's fake. The aftermath could be false word of lies being spread and people having knowledge of the wrong things instead of authentic news. This was proven when there was an incident that had happen in Old trafford when there was apparently a bomb in the toilets on their last match of the season. It was a false alarm and it had been left there from the previous day when a bomb drill had been taken place and one had been left over

CONCLUSION

My conclusion is that i do believe that the internet has had a difference  on this world. I think this as the internet has changed drastically over the years, it allows people to do things with the new features that have been added. It also allows the audience to give their opinions. Whether it's anonymous or said with identity the audiences comments, shares etc.. all have an impact on how the producer decides to continue their content. If negative messages are being said about their content, instincts will most likely tell them to change up what they're doing and if it's the opposite they'll do their best to keep creating good content that interests their viewers. It all comes down to the audience, because without their opinion, producers will not know how to improve their content to gain more consumers.

minority report

MEDIUM SHOT
This medium shot shows a group of people in armed clothing, looking as if they're going to fight. This shot allows the consumer to get a good idea on what this scene will be based about due to their clothing. The facial expression on the their faces suggests they're ready and determined to achieve heroic missions.
WIDE SHOT
This image is an establishing shot as the audience is introduced to a location and setting the scene. We can tell this is in a car workshop as a car, which is broken, is present and is in a building. It is also a low angle as it's cropped out the wheels of the car but showing us the surrounding of the setting.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP

In this image we can see that its is a medium close up and trying to show the characters emotions which shows he is scared. By the looks of the shot he is a dirty alleyway which might try to show he is in a bad position and the way he is standing indicates he looks like he is trying to cover his identify

4)I believe question 8 was one of my strongest questions as i wrote a decent paragraph and got 2 ticks

5) I think that question 7a was one f my weakest questions as i didnt  get any marks and didn't use any terminology words and i didn't put that much effort

6) They use controversial and disturbing pictures to help their charity. kids are linked with being powerless and being very vulnerable which is why images of them will make people feel sorry for them, because many people will think they are kids and if they are struggling they will have an even harder life living in this world in thus day and age and a deeper thought if they know someone on maybe even themselves might of gone through living in poverty and they would hope that no one would ever go thought that especially a kid and they would do anything in their power to make sure that those people in need would get help

the fight

The boys are fighting because one of them was trying to steal the other ones sensations and they said they would take behind E block so no teacher can see the beef.

They took it behind e block and the one with the hood up started to say "don't ever finesse my chips again" he said shouting. "But if you win in this fight i'll give you two packets of chrisps for free you short up looking like you got a little oompa loompa trim and your a b-tec sideman to your little sister" and the guy with the blazer said "are you dumb your mum gave me 3 packets for free last night while i was at your yard you roadman wannabe with your hood up acting like you a level 3 big man you waste man go back to your trampy northolt estate with your crusty brother and your skinny little sister who has the driest knees" he said laughing. "i swear to god has your dusty family never heard of vaseline i'm sure you can afford it your dad could probably finesse it from poundland.

he got so mad he delivered the killer punch that knocked the crisp finesser unconscious with one diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiity right hook
!BOOM!

He got so hurt because as he was falling some scissors that he was going to stab the wannabe roadman fell right out of his hand and into the chest and he died
he felt so big he decided to pose while the guy on the floor bleed to death
(what a savage)
as he was there chilling he saw a guy in a mad supply and demand jacket see the entire fight
he said"oooooooohhhhhhhh you done this guy dirty what are you gonna do with the body"
The wannabe roadman said"are you dizzy blud you should be worried about your body" as he delivered a diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirty
uppercut to the guy with the mad supply and demand jacket.
As the guy was down all he could hear was the wannabe road man shouting "WAT WAT are you dum bruv i swear ill knock your teeth out and make you look like a dislocated buggs bunny" at the top of his lungs.
After banging TWO people he decided to pose like an absolute boss.

denotation and connotation

Image result for dig toilet not graves

denotation-I see a little boy wearing a scruffy racing car t-shirt next to a crusty wall looking pretty sad. it is an advertisement for water aid. That fits in the genre as he is not that rich

connotations-People where he lives probable have pretty bad water and not that many toilets and live in poverty

analysis-Water can be used for the purpose of living or for doing normal things in other places. By drinking the water you can feel safe and healthy.
