Reveal CSP

General

1.
The people that read Reveal are between 18 to 34 years old. the average age that read this is 28.Unlike Tatler which is read mostly in south west London, Reveal is read all around the country.

2.
The editor introduce Reveal magazine by putting the price in the top left corner to show us how- cheap it is as people read from top left to bottom right. It also shows the most interesting stories and most famous people on the front cover so more people will know about them and buy it as it is cheap and has some juicy information in it.

3.
the difference between the Reveal and Tatler is that reveal is all about celebrity gossip and information about their lives and its aimed at middle/lower class people while Tatler is focused at the latest high class fashion.

4.
they are interested in issues where there is breaking news linking to celebrity like Kyle Jenner's baby and Kim kardashiens questionable photos.

Media language

1.
There are 8 of the 12 magazine cover key conventions

2.  The font choice is san-serif as it is trying to sell itself to a more modern

3. They appeal to the Reveal target audience as its uses bright colours and text and by making the typing bold and clear.

4.The Reveal magazine colour scheme is mostly yellow writing which is written as it is bright coloured and clear has the gossip that you want to know

5. The images are used to make the magazine look interesting as celebrities are the reason people read about it. If you put a picture of Ethan Suplee on the front cover not that many people ill buy it as no one really knows him but if you put a picture of David Beckham on then front people will buy it as they know who he is and what he looks like.Another way the images are used to create interest in the magazine is the fashion ,because since the fashion is advertised more women will want to wear the fashion.Another way the images are used to create interest in the magazine is the pictures of what's happening between celebrities ,because people might want to know what's  happening between celebrities.

6. Tatler uses serif fonts to make their magazine seem more deluxe and appeal to more upper class women where Reveal uses sans serif which is more common and modern which could imply that they try to attract more middle class/lower class people. Tatler has only one image which is from a high class photo shoot but Reveal is covered in overlapping photos taken by the paparazzi which suggest that Tatler has access to famous celebrities and can afford to have professional pictures while Reveal relies on random photos.
Tatler has few cover lines compared to Reveal as the focus is on the cover model, they aren't noticeable but on Reveal, the cover lines are large and colourful and the reader is shot at with different stories.

Representations
1.The magazine represents celebrities but they aren't being portrayed as upper class, posh people; the use of paparazzi pictures, catching celebrities doing ordinary things make them seem more normal.

2.The majority of the celebrities are reality stars, actors and musicians. This could potentially be a way of appealing to a mainstream audience and make celebrities they are familiar with more accessible.

3.The stereotype that celebrities are stuck up and obnoxious is being subverted as they are being portrayed as ordinary and experiencing personal issues.
4.Reveal wants readers to be able to relate to the celebrities and view them as regular people.

5.The preferred reading would be that this magazine is packed with interesting stories that will bring the reader closer to the celebrity and they will gain exclusive insight into the lives of celebrities. The oppositional reading is that the paparazzi photos suggest that because the photos haven't been authorised, the information in the magazine hasn't been confirmed either, nor is it credible. Additionally, by fitting in so many stories, they will be brief and not detailed.

Social and cultural context

1.It reflects the middle class people as it talks about failures and struggles celebrities are having not their lavish life styles that Tatler tries to show by making them wear expensive cloth and get pictures of them that makes them look like diamonds.

2. The readers are middle class and lower class bec
ause it costs very little to buy.

3.  Image result for the reveal magazineImage result for the reveal magazineImage result for the reveal magazine

Mostly features that are regularly shown are revolving around their love lives but their are hints of appearance management and bad blood between celebrities.

4. Female stars are mostly on the front cover as they are the one people like and get in the most beefs and arguments with other reality TV stars that ae well documented and followed.
